Optomap Retinal Scanning Laser
A comprehensive eye exam can detect early signs of numerous diseases that affect not only your eyes and your sight, but also your overall health. The optomap retinal exam helps our doctors identify abnormalities that could indicate the onset of a number of diseases that often present first in the retina (the back of the eye). Some Individuals with intra-ocular tumors, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy do not experience any pain or outward symptoms, but a wide field image with OPTOS can help detect them. The scanning laser is painless, takes minutes to run, and can be done without the need too dilate. We want to protect you and your families vision. That is why it is important for everyone of all ages to have an annual exam that includes an evaluation of your retina with the optomap.
